Sonia Shehryar is a Pakistani, a dentist by profession and a baker by hobby. She grew up in a military family and studied for her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) in Karachi. She is married to a Pakistani career diplomat & is mother to two boys ages 19 & 16.
While on posting in Budapest, Sonia studied for her Doctor Medical Dental (DMD) degree from Semmelweis University and attained her license to practice in the EU. She has practiced dentistry in Pakistan, Hungary & Scotland. It was after arrival in Belgrade & due to covid that she started baking professionally.
Her journey as a diplomatic spouse has taken her to Algeria, Hungary, Scotland, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and brought her now to Serbia. She has served as Chairperson of the Pakistan Ladies Group, Jeddah and Chairperson of the Pakistani Consulate wives group 2015-2019.
