On Monday May 31st, the IWC, along with members of the Belgrade Ambassadors’ Spouses and Partners group, visited the magnificent, under-construction Kula Tower at the Belgrade Waterfront complex.

Our group of 31 first met at the beautiful, historical building housing the Belgrade Waterfront main office. We then walked along the Sava River to the tower.

Located right on the bank of the Sava River, Kula Tower is expected to be the tallest building in Belgrade when completed and will be a combination hotel and residential structure connected by a bridge to the Belgrade Galerija mall. Our group donned vests and hard hats and took a ride up the open-air construction elevator three quarters of the way to the top.

The cloudy day did not dampen our amazement as we experienced rarely seen views of Belgrade, New Belgrade, and both the Sava and Danube rivers. It was an exciting visit, and we offer a big thank you to one of the project managers, Lee Collins, for his time and enthusiasm in hosting and showing us around.
