On Thursday Jan. 21st, IWC members were treated to a timely and fascinating virtual workshop titled "Thriving in 2021: Four Strategies for Managing Crisis Fatigue." The workshop was presented by New Bridge Worldwide, a new support service that provides virtual and in-person counseling and coaching for expatriates and their families.

Members learned about the benefits of understanding why we behave the way we do during stressful and challenging times. We were given strategies for using mindfulness techniques and "replacement thoughts" to counteract "cognitive distortion thinking".

We also learned about the relationship between feelings and emotions and how to improve our well being through connections with ourselves and others.
