Center for the Art of Movement "Perpetuum" - Strings Theory

Center for the Art of Movement “Perpetuum”, Belgrade was founded in September 1999 in Belgrade, as a non-profit NGO from the field of arts, whose main goal is creativity, support and education of youth in the area of contemporary dance. 

The project “Strings Theory” dance & drama workshop was launched in 2019 in cities of Novi Sad, Niš, Šabac and Užice. It targeted the problems of the female population aged over 50 who face the turning point where they are expected to slowly reduce the level and versatility of their activities. This new project applies a model already successfully implemented in Belgrade, based on psychotherapeutic, drama and dance vocabulary. It will be repeated in order to unite other women of this age group with different social backgrounds to show their artistic, creative, and physical potential and to improve their health and boost their image in the eyes of the society. The program includes a two-day workshop in each of the four cities, followed by the presentation of working material of the dance play “Strings Theory” by its participants from Belgrade together with local participants of the course. The participants will be given an opportunity to learn about the play’s entire working process in order to further apply and develop this knowledge within their local community.
