Udruženje Simeon, Pirot: Quiet Book

The Quiet Book project started as small family business for producing play items for deaf children. With the support of the Social Welfare Centre (SWC) and few donors is grew to become a small NGO that employs women from a small village in southeast Serbia. On the recommendation of SWC, Association Simeon engaged a group of women (some that are single mothers, others with disabilities) who will be trained in sewing and crafting the Quiet Book. The outcome is the production of toys for interactive programs for deaf children, activities that are in short supply, and to employ some of the women. The IWC donated funds for training and procurement of materials including sewing machines. More about Udruzenje Simeon, please see their facebook page - click here)

In July 2019, our president Milica Lundin visited them and made some nice pictures from the founders and children who helped out in their summer holidays.
